In the Clonavon Terrace neighborhood of Ballymena, residents witnessed repeated attacks on homes, businesses, and vehicles, with multiple properties set ablaze following a protest sparked by allegations of a teenage girl's sexual assault.

Police faced relentless assaults with petrol bombs, bricks, and fireworks during the evening, resulting in injuries to 17 officers, according to official statements.
