Dozens of Palestinians lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes targeting northern Gaza overnight, according to local health authorities, as military operations in the region intensify despite growing international concerns.
By midday Wednesday, more than 50 bodies had been delivered to the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia, stated Marwan Sultan, the hospital’s director. He added that numerous individuals sustained injuries during the strikes. Gaza’s health ministry also confirmed multiple fatalities overnight, though it did not provide specific locations.
Health officials in Gaza do not differentiate between civilians and combatants when reporting casualty figures.
