Israel’s military has issued an extensive new evacuation directive covering much of northern Gaza, cautioning residents that these zones are expected to become active combat areas shortly.
Thousands of Palestinians living in this region have already been displaced multiple times since the onset of the conflict nearly 20 months ago. The delivery of humanitarian aid remains critically limited, contributing to widespread food shortages.
Recent maps indicate that only a handful of neighborhoods in Gaza City, the northern region's main urban center, have remained outside evacuation orders during the past ten days. The newest mandate, released late Thursday, directs residents to move westward toward the Mediterranean coastline.
An Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli military stated that from this point forward, the designated areas will be considered hazardous combat zones. Residents in northern Gaza have reportedly been warned multiple times to evacuate.
Despite the large population in northern Gaza, humanitarian assistance has scarcely reached the area over recent months, exacerbating the ongoing crisis.
