China Labor Bulletin, a Hong Kong-based organization established to track labor unrest in China, announced on Thursday that it will cease operations due to financial difficulties.

The group cited ongoing financial challenges and mounting debts as reasons for its decision to dissolve. Consequently, it will discontinue updates on its website and social media channels.

Founded in 1994 by Han Dongfang, a former leader of the 1989 pro-democracy protests near Tiananmen Square, China Labor Bulletin served as a vital resource for journalists and researchers monitoring worker activism. The organization maintained a regularly updated map of labor strikes throughout China and published detailed reports on labor conditions within various industries and companies.
