As the 2025 Miss Maine USA pageant approached its climax, the atmosphere was charged with dazzling lights, pulsating pop music, and contestants adorned in glittering gowns. Sal Malafronte, a seasoned hairstylist and pageant expert, began announcing the 10 semifinalists who had advanced in the competition.
Around 300 attendees gathered on Sunday afternoon in the expansive ballroom of the Holiday Inn Portland-By the Bay, a venue that had not witnessed such excitement since hosting Furcationland 2025, a convention for fans of anthropomorphic costume culture.
Malafronte announced, “We will start with Penobscot’s Arianna DeJesus and Monson’s Isabelle St. Cyr.”
Isabelle St. Cyr, evoking Marilyn Monroe with her sparkling dress, confidently stepped forward to join Arianna DeJesus, who wore a bright yellow gown and proudly displayed her Miss Penobscot sash.
Following them were Miss Belfast and Miss Lewiston. Then came Miss Hancock, 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, a petite brunette whose presence drew extra attention due to her relationship with Bill Belichick. The former New England Patriots coach, aged 73, was seated in the front row on the far right. Their relationship has recently captured public interest, turning this year’s pageant from a traditional event into a headline-grabbing spectacle.
