A lively celebration was underway inside the convent.

Breakdancers performing under the name 'The Magician' executed impressive backflips, while another dancer spun on his back. The scene featured bright stage lights, a rapper, two cameras, and a Chevy lowrider blasting powerful bass from its trunk.

Amidst this vibrant setting were Sisters Marizele Rego and Marisa Neves — two Brazilian nuns who have recently risen to national prominence — accompanied by their troupe of dancers dressed in habits, crosses, and veils.

The nuns were filming the music video for their new single, “Vocation,” which gained rapid popularity after Sister Marizele performed its catchy main refrain and beatboxed while Sister Marisa danced in perfect sync on a Brazilian Catholic television program just three weeks earlier.

The video clip quickly went viral worldwide, amassing tens of millions of views. It sparked memes, parodies, and appearances on late-night TV shows. On a popular American daytime talk show, the nuns were affectionately dubbed “A Real-Life Change of Habit.”
