Fox Corporation announced on Monday that it will launch a new streaming service called Fox One later this year.
This reveal came shortly before the company’s annual upfront event, where it showcases upcoming programming to advertisers. Lachlan Murdoch, CEO and son of Fox founder Rupert Murdoch, shared insights about the service during a quarterly earnings call. He explained that the name Fox One reflects the combined strength of the company’s television shows, cable channels, and broadcast network offerings, including National Football League games.
Murdoch emphasized the company’s unified approach, stating, “Whether it’s the Super Bowl, the election cycle, or the upfront, our company performs best when operating as one cohesive entity.”
