It felt surprisingly soft and smelled like genuine leather rather than plastic. That evening, I took it out with friends, proudly displaying it like a child with a new toy. They passed it around, amused by its surprisingly luxurious feel and the notion that I was play-acting as a high-end fashionista. Carrying this bag allowed me to escape into a fantasy of unattainable wealth, feeling momentarily free from everyday financial struggles.
